Jasmine is 2 years old and Yoko is 7 months old.
 We are neutered females.
We like an adult only home.
 We cannot live with dogs.
We could live with other cats.
We need a home with a garden.

Jasmine (black and white) and Yoko (tabby) are a sweet but shy mother daughter duo.

Jasmine and her sister Jellybean had given birth to a total of 7 kittens in somebody's garden. They were being fed by the homeowner, but when the weather took a drastic turn, they had no choice but to bring them in to us. The two mums were very run down and a bit fluey when they first arrived, but after the appropriate medication and regular meals they have bounced back to full health.

Yoko and her siblings had little to no interaction with people before coming into the shelter and were scared of every unfamiliar thing. Whilst Yoko is still a little unsure of new things and people she's an inquisitive little thing with a curious nature. She loves to run around and play with toys (which we have found it’s a great way to gain her trust and a level of comfort around people), she will take treats out of our hands and allow some loving but gentle attention. She knows her boundaries so when she has had enough, she will just walk away.

Jasmine was terrified when she first came in and would teeter on a tiny ledge in her pen anytime we went near. Once we realised she wasn’t going to come down anytime soon, we installed a little shelf for her so she could feel safer and more comfortable whilst settling in. Now she's realised we aren’t going to hurt her she stays on the normal shelf, sniffing our hands for treats and has even started to come out for a walk around. She goes back to the top shelf if she feels unsure, but this has lessened greatly as she adjusts to us. She's come such a long way and we believe a stable home with secure people who can offer time and love will help her develop into a confident and loving cat.

These two need a patient and understanding home that will take two cats that will reward you for your compassion in the small moments of love. When they get into a new home they will definitely need a nice tall scratching post to sit on top!

Our cats are rescues, that have either been abandoned, stray, neglected or abused. All homes need to have a home check either by video call or in person and we will provide advice about caring for cats or kittens. This is also a chance for us to see what type of home you can offer to one of our cats and to best match a cat with your home and family.

Following a successful home visit, we will make an appointment for you to come and meet the cats at the shelter and adopt. If you have picked cat/s from the website, you will meet them on adoption day.

We are prioritising homes that are local to our centre and these are the Canning Town catchment areas: East London, parts of North London and parts of West Essex.

If you can offer a home to a harder to home cat, we will consider a home outside these areas.
