 I am 9 years old.
 I am a neutered male.
I can live with older children.
 I cannot live with dogs.
I cannot live with other cats.
 I need a home with a garden.

This fun loving boy is Darcy.

Darcy was found in someone's garden with a bad leg and in a lot of pain. When he got to us at the shelter, he was firstly given pain relief and then had an x-ray on his leg, but as nothing came up as broken, we believe it was most likely soft tissue damage. After some well needed rest, he was able to show us his full potential; running and jumping around just like a kitten.

Although Darcy had a microchip, the details were unfortunately out of date so we were unable to trace an owner. He has now been recovering in our care for quite a while, and since no one has come forward to claim him, he is now ready for adoption.

Although we believe thar Darcy is around 9 years old, by the way he acts you would think he is 9 weeks old. He loves to play and  has so much energy; he runs, jumps and chases after any toy he can get his paws on. His favourite toy is the dangly rainbow stick, which he always gets excited about when he sees it.

Darcy adores attention, whether it's a fuss as well as play time. Recently, he has started to give us playful nips, but we think that this is due to boredom and wanting to be out and about. We would assist potential adopters with how to manage this behaviour.

Although he used to be okay being picked up, he is liking it less and less recently as he now associates it with being put back in his pen.

Our sweet Mr Darcy really needs a home and a garden that he can run around in, being the kitten he still thinks he is.

Our cats are rescues, that have either been abandoned, stray, neglected or abused. All homes need to have a home check either by video call or in person and we will provide advice about caring for cats or kittens. This is also a chance for us to see what type of home you can offer to one of our cats and to best match a cat with your home and family.

Following a successful home visit, we will make an appointment for you to come and meet the cats at the shelter and adopt. If you have picked cat/s from the website, you will meet them on adoption day.

We are prioritising homes that are local to our centre and these are the Canning Town catchment areas: East London, parts of North London and parts of West Essex.

If you can offer a home to a harder to home cat, we will consider a home outside these areas.
