Carla is 2 years old and Tilly is 1 years old.
 We are both neutered.
 We cannot live with children.
 We cannot live with dogs.
We can live with other cats.
We need a home with a safe garden.

Carla and Tilly are very special girls who experienced sad starts to their lives and have made an incredible loving bond with each other.

Carla’s story:  Carla was living as an un-neutered stray in a warehouse being fed by the staff when she gave birth to three kittens on top of some pallets. The kittens fell through the pallets out of Carla’s reach and our rescue team, and the warehouse staff mounted an urgent recovery and managed to save them all. Carla was terrified of people, and we placed her into a wonderful foster home to build her confidence and nurse her kittens.

Not only was she a wonderful mama to her kittens, but she also accepted some orphaned kittens who thanks to her, all survived.  Carla is still very wary of people and will hide away until she feels it's safe to come out.  She plays with her toys on her own a little bit but if there's a human around the best are toys on sticks or a fishing rod.

Carla's favourite thing is birdwatching. She likes to sleep on the bed especially near a pillow or where she can multitask with birdwatching.  She plays on her own or with the kittens although she stops she notices she is being watched. Carla's is very happy to be near her foster mum but as soon as a hand moves towards her, she is on the alert and if she thinks she will be touched, she will shoot off (she also shoots off if one of the kittens or a toy touches her from behind when she isn't expecting it). Carla is an absolute sweetheart and still lets the kittens eat before her or steal her treats.

Tilly's story:  Tilly and her six siblings were born to a lovely stray mama cat who sadly didn't survive.  To give these day-old, orphaned kittens the best chance of survival, we placed them all with other nursing mama cats and they all survived.  Tilly and some of her siblings were placed with Carla.  Tilly is an adorable, affectionate, and friendly girl who loves playing.  Tilly loves a cuddle in bed especially in the morning. She likes to have a chat and always needs to know what's happening.  She goes crazy for a treats and likes to carry round an empty treat packet as a trophy.

Carla and Tilly: …… have developed an incredible loving bond.  Carla adores her adopted daughter, and they take great delight in spending their days together.  They will snuggle up and sleep together and will also play.  Carla has been a literal life saver for little Tilly, but equally, Tilly is a wonderful influence on Carla as she is showing her that people are okay, and she can learn to trust.   They are looking for an adult only home that will give Carla the time and patience that she needs to slowly come out of her shell.  They both love other cats and could live with other chilled cats.  Carla would benefit from having access to a safe garden with a cat flap so she can always come and go.

Our cats are rescues, that have either been abandoned, stray, neglected or abused. All homes need to have a home check either by video call or in person and we will provide advice about caring for cats or kittens. This is also a chance for us to see what type of home you can offer to one of our cats and to best match a cat with your home and family.

Following a successful home visit, we will make an appointment for you to come and meet the cats at the shelter and adopt. If you have picked cat/s from the website, you will meet them on adoption day.

We are prioritising homes that are local to our centre and these are the Canning Town catchment areas: East London, parts of North London and parts of West Essex.

If you can offer a home to a harder to home cat, we will consider a home outside these areas.
