Canning Town is CHAT's East London centre for veterinary care, rescue and rehoming. Working for us, as well as looking after owned pets, you will also have the opportunity to nurse abused and unwanted animals back to health and into new loving homes. Working for CHAT, you will be directly making a difference to the welfare of animals in London.
You will also have an unrivalled opportunity to improve your skills, for as well as catering for people on low incomes we also accept referrals from many private vets, where the owners may have been faced with the option of euthanasia for their pet.  With us you will work on a very wide range of medical and surgical cases including orthopaedic and referral level soft tissue surgeries. You must have very good Veterinary Nursing experience and, as with all our roles, we are looking for someone who is passionate about animal welfare. This is a real hands-on role using all your skills and training and you will not be expected to cover reception work. You will be fully involved with the animals and your initiative will be encouraged and valued. We are well equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, endoscopes etc. This is a permanent vacancy although we will consider candidates willing to work for a minimum of six months. You will work from Monday to Friday with weekends, evenings and nights covered on a rota basis. Salary is commensurate with experience. Accommodation may be available.

Veterinary Surgeon Canning Town

We are seeking a good general Surgeon with an interest in Charity work to work at our Canning Town East London clinic.  Working for CHAT you will be directly making a difference to the welfare of animals in London and also have an opportunity to improve your knowledge and skills. Our charity provides a full low cost veterinary service for pet owners who are unable to afford private veterinary fees. Self contained accommodation available if required.

We are looking for someone to join our team in South London Clinic. For this role you will need an interest in working closely with animals and be prepared to be busy in a job which supports the team of Veterinary Nurses and Surgeons. Examples of responsibilities willbe to refill supplies, prepare materials required by the Nurses and hold animals during procedures.  You will also look after the animals in our Intensive Care Unit and feed and clean other recovering animals.  The Clinic is a very busy but rewarding place to work if you have an interest in animal welfare and are able to work independently.
