The Lewisham Branch of the Celia Hammond Animal Trust opened in October 1995 with the main objective being the provision of a low cost neuter and vaccination clinic, thus bringing responsible pet ownership within the reach of everyone. The centre is now both a busy veterinary clinic providing low cost neutering and veterinary services for pets belonging to owners on benefits or a low income and a busy cat rescue and homing centre for unwanted, abandoned, stray and feral cats.    More information can be found on our Homing FAQ page: http://www.celiahammond.org/index.php/faqs/homing-a-cat

UPDATED 6th JULY:  We have been inundated with enquiries and offers of permanent and temporary homes for our cats since the lockdown began. This is a good thing but we have been struggling to keep up with responding to enquiries and during the lockdown actually didn't have enough friendly young adult cats and kittens to meet the demand.  Since the lockdown restrictions have been easing we are being asked to take in more unwanted pets again so are trying to get back to everyone who has offered new homes.  As always we are particularly keen to hear from people who can offer homes to our 'harder to home' cats such as outdoor homes for feral and semi-feral cats (we still have lots of feral cats) and homes for cats that are in our care - these cats are featured on our website.  Please help us by including as much information as you can about what sort of cats and how many you are offering a home to and a bit of information about your family, your address and a contact tel no.  Thank you for your patience.  Lewisham Homing Team - Naomi, Ruth and Lesley.
