Abandoned in a bin….

Thrown away like rubbish, three cats found struggling inside a Marks and Spencer cooler bag – Safe with us now. This heart breaking incident occurred in a park in Bellingham South East London and left us shocked and deeply concerned, our vet nursing assistant, Lisa, was out walking her dog when she noticed a man struggling to carry a heavy Marks and Spencer zipped cooler bag. Her suspicions were raised as she watched him lift the bag into a bin. When Lisa called out to him, “Hey, wait a minute!” he ran off, leaving the bag behind.
What she found inside was horrifying: three cats approximately five months old, tightly packed into the cooler bag, barely able to move and likely struggling to breath. If Lisa hadn’t been there at that exact moment, these cats would have been left to a horrible fate, discarded like rubbish.
Disturbingly, this isn’t the first time Lisa has witnessed such cruelty. Not long ago she discovered another cat being discarded in a similar fashion in the same park. How have we reached a point where disposing of animals in this way has become so alarmingly common?
*Photographs show Lisa and the precious cats she rescued who we’ve named Jaime, Jessica and Jones. Also shown, a photo of the bin where they were found.
