Hello Cat! Goodbye Cat.

Two adolescent kittens were discovered abandoned in a carrier at the Canning Town train station, left amongst the bustling chaos of passers-by. Fortunately, the caring train station staff noticed them. The carrier was labelled “HELLO CAT” but sadly, for these sweet kittens, it might as well have said “GOODBYE CATS.” They were left behind, but not without a glimmer of hope, the station workers took them in and brought them to our Canning Town clinic to ask if we could help.
Abandonment stories like these are far too common, and this was a heartbreaking reminder. On the same day alongside these two cats, our Canning Town clinic also took in five others:
-A black white cat that had been shut inside a wheelie bin with all his whiskers cut off.
-A tiny blue kitten that had been found crying in a woman’s garden for three days. This kitten is very friendly, we think someone must have dumped her there.
-A grey and white kitten found lost and alone.
-A black and white kitten brought to us by a young boy who was leaving the country.
-A poor cat who had been struck by a car and injured so badly that he sadly didn’t make it, despite our teams efforts.
Every one of these precious souls deserved a chance to heal, to feel safe, and to find a loving home.
We’ve taken them in. But we can’t do it alone. With so many vulnerable animals coming through our doors, more than ever before we urgently need support to provide the food, medical care, warmth and security they so desperately need. Each of these cats will need to be neutered, microchipped, flea’d and wormed in addition to treating their medical issues.
