Violet and Stardust

A few months ago, our rescue team responded to a call for help. We were asked to assist with moving 12 cats to a new home, as their owner was unable to catch them.

When our team arrived, they were met with heartbreaking conditions. The house was virtually derelict, and the cats were living beneath the floorboards. It quickly became clear that there were far more than 12 cats. Once they were all safely caught, the total came to 24. None of them were neutered, and the overwhelming smell of urine and faeces was noticeable before the front door had even been opened.

Many of you may remember this story from our social media. It was a truly distressing situation that left these cats sick, traumatised, and in desperate need of care. Over the past few months, we have worked tirelessly to restore their health and begin their rehabilitation.

All of the cats are carriers of cat flu, which can flare up during times of stress. We are seeking indoor-only homes for them, in pairs, within adult-only households with no other pets.

Violet & Stardust are often found curled up together asleep. Violet's growing confidence matched by Stardust's calm and steady nature.

Violet has had a difficult time with chronic cat flu, but her spirits are up and recently she has really come out of herself and her confidence has grown so much. She now actively seeks out affection, enjoys being stroked and has even started climbing onto laps independently. Violet loves to play, is happy to be brushed and is becoming more adventurous every day. She has already made such wonderful progress, and it will be lovely to see her confidence continue to blossom in a calm and loving home.

Stardust is a confident and calm girl, she enjoys being brushed when the mood takes her, but she also has a sassy side and won't hesitate to let you know when she's had enough attention. Stardust loves to lounge, be admired and watch the world go by, bringing a sense of peace wherever she settles. Her gentle confidence makes her the perfect companion for Violet.
