Minnie

I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and have undergone a complete health check, so you can adopt me with full peace of mind.

Minnie

Minnie is currently in the care of one of our foster homes but is seeking a permanent home with outdoor access (which she doesn't currently have) .

Minnie is a 4.5 year old cat who is loving, playful and goofy. She’s very sociable and enjoys being around people - she’s great with guests and seems entirely unperturbed by new faces. While she isn’t exactly a cuddler, she loves a good scritch, a head-bump and a kiss, and will come and make ‘biscuits’ next to you at bed time.

She really enjoys playtime and will often bother her fosterer for attention - she loves to chase a wand toy or hunt things under the covers. She also knows some tricks, and will give her ‘paw’ or ‘spin’ for treats.

Minnie has expressed real interest in exploring outdoors - she’s very inquisitive, and would benefit from a home with a safe garden area, or a larger indoor space where she can get the enrichment she needs, with someone at home for company most of the time.

When she arrived with the charity 2 years ago she had some health issues, so she was placed in a foster home. These are now being managed well, but are ongoing. She will need regular vet checks and is on a daily medication for life. These issues manifest in anaemia, so if she goes outdoors her adopter will need to keep a strict schedule with prescription flea treatment.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

Because our cats are rescued we do like to meet potential adopters this can either be at your home (home visit) or via a video call e.g WhatsApp this is an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home.

Following a successful home assessment we can make an appointment for you to come and meet our cats.

We are prioritising homes that are local to our centres. Lewisham Branch Homing catchment area: All SE London and BR (Bromley) postcodes. Also N.Kent (Welling, Bexley, Sidcup, Swanley, Dartford), Croydon and SW London (SW8, SW9, SW2, SW11, SW4, SW12, SW16) If you can offer a home to a 'harder to rehome' cat we will consider homes outside our usual rehoming areas.

Our Rescue Centre reception is also open every Saturday and Sunday afternoon between 1p.m and 5p.m for potential adopters to drop in to meet us for an initial chat about adopting one or more of our cats.
