I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and have undergone a complete health check, so you can adopt me with full peace of mind.
New arrival Mikey is an approx 3 year friendly male cat who was living stray. We had been contacted about a sudden influx of cats on a housing estate in SE19. Local residents couldn't understand where approx 20 hungry stray cats had suddenly appeared from. Upon further investigation we discovered that a group of 5-6 cats unneutered cats had been abandoned, the females had come in to season and then lots of roaming unneutered male cats had been attracted by the female cats.
Mikey is one of the roaming male cats who had turned up, he had no microchip and the appearance of a cat who has been stray for a while. He is a friendly cat towards people and would once have been someone's pet cat. He has an old scar from an injury to his left eye, our vets are trying some treatment for this to see if the scar will reduce but it is likely that this old injury is permanent. Our vets have also neutered, microchipped and vaccinated Mikey and he is now seeking a new home with a garden.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
Because our cats are rescued we do like to meet potential adopters this can either be at your home (home visit) or via a video call e.g WhatsApp this is an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home.
Following a successful home assessment we can make an appointment for you to come and meet our cats.
We are prioritising homes that are local to our centres. Lewisham Branch Homing catchment area: All SE London and BR (Bromley) postcodes. Also N.Kent (Welling, Bexley, Sidcup, Swanley, Dartford), Croydon and SW London (SW8, SW9, SW2, SW11, SW4, SW12, SW16) If you can offer a home to a 'harder to rehome' cat we will consider homes outside our usual rehoming areas.
Our Rescue Centre reception is also open every Saturday and Sunday afternoon between 1p.m and 5p.m for potential adopters to drop in to meet us for an initial chat about adopting one or more of our cats. Our address is 233-235, Lewisham Way SE4 1UY - please bring a donation of cat food to help us feed our rescue cats.
A member of our team will then contact you about your enquiry as soon as possible.
