Marmalady

Marmalady is a sweet 6-year-old neutered girl looking for a patient and understanding forever home.

Marmalady spent several years living as a stray, often sheltering in old fox dens, where she raised her kittens. As they grew up, her kittens went their own way and continued life as strays, we are working to find them. Marmalady is now in our care and, after years of fending for herself, is slowly learning that she can feel safe around people.

After so many years of having to fend for herself, Marmalady understandably finds the world a rather scary place. She's a very nervous girl who is still learning that people can be kind and gentle. She's slowly beginning to trust us and will accept very gentle affection from those she feels comfortable with. She'll need a special someone who understands that building trust takes time and is happy to let her blossom at her own pace.

Marmalady is looking for a quiet, indoor-only home with no children, where she can feel safe and secure. She would prefer to be the only cat in the household and will need someone who is around for most of the day to provide companionship and help her settle into her new surroundings.

Marmalady may not be the sort of cat who will immediately run up for cuddles, but with patience, kindness and a little understanding, we hope she'll continue to discover the comforts of home.
