Lakito and Hopeful

Lakito and Hopeful are a special pair of older gentlemen looking for a patient and understanding home together.

Having spent many years surviving on the streets, these boys have endured more than most. We estimate Lakito is around 6 years old, while Hopeful is approximately 9 years old. Although they were rescued from the same area, they arrived in our care at different times.

Neither boy was neutered when found, and both carried the physical and emotional scars of life as stray cats. Since coming into our care, they have each undergone extensive veterinary treatment, including full dental work, and both have tested positive for calicivirus. It is heartbreaking to think how long they may have been living with discomfort and pain before receiving the care they deserved.

Lakito and Hopeful are still learning that people can be kind. They enjoy being brushed and are beginning to appreciate the affection and attention they receive from staff, although they can become overwhelmed if interactions go on for too long. Their trust is growing, but it is very much on their terms.

These boys need a calm, patient adopter who will allow them the time and space to settle in and build confidence at their own pace. The bond they share is important, so they are looking for a home together where they can continue their journey side by side.

Lakito and Hopeful will need an indoor-only home and would be best suited to an adult-only household. In return, you'll be giving two deserving souls the chance to finally experience the comfort, security, and love they have gone without for so much of their lives.
