Fusillo

I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and have undergone a complete health check, so you can adopt me with full peace of mind.

Fusillo

Fusillo is an elderly male cat who had been living stray for about a year.  A concerned member of the public began feeding him and then made him a shelter to sleep in their front garden.  Fusillo gradually became more friendly with them and they gained his trust, however he would not go into their house because they have two indoor cats who were not keen on welcoming another cat into their home.

Fusillo started to look unwell and they were concerned for his health so contacted us for help.  We checked for a microchip but Fusillo wasn't microchipped although he was already neutered and clearly has once been someone's pet.  Our vets sorted out Fusillo's matted fur and ran some blood tests which show early kidney issues. He also has a grade 3 heart murmur and is going to require a heart scan as well as some dental work.

Fusillo is going to need an indoor only home where he can receive some TLC, he can be adopted under our Long Term Foster scheme whereby we will continue to provide his veterinary care at our Lewisham vet clinic.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

Because our cats are rescued we do like to meet potential adopters this can either be at your home (home visit) or via a video call e.g WhatsApp this is an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home.

Following a successful home assessment we can make an appointment for you to come and meet our cats.

We are prioritising homes that are local to our centres. Lewisham Branch Homing catchment area: All SE London and BR (Bromley) postcodes. Also N.Kent (Welling, Bexley, Sidcup, Swanley, Dartford), Croydon and SW London (SW8, SW9, SW2, SW11, SW4, SW12, SW16) If you can offer a home to a 'harder to rehome' cat we will consider homes outside our usual rehoming areas.

Our Rescue Centre reception is also open every Saturday and Sunday afternoon between 1p.m and 5p.m for potential adopters to drop in to meet us for an initial chat about adopting one or more of our cats. Our address is 233-235, Lewisham Way SE4 1UY - please bring a donation of cat food to help us feed our rescue cats.
