“Dolly” Found SE15

I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and have undergone a complete health check, so you can adopt me with full peace of mind.

"Dolly" Found SE15

New Arrival Dolly: We received an urgent call for help with a very nervous cat who a member of the public had started feeding in their garden. They reported that she had her leg caught through the cat collar that she was wearing.  When this happens the collar can cause a nasty injury under the cats leg known as a "collar wound" the person asking for help said they could smell the wound so we knew this was urgent.

Kelley from our rescue team attended and Dolly obligingly went straight into the cat trap.

Back at the centre her collar was cut off and we could see a nasty wound under her leg which our vets are now treating.  Dolly is a young cat and does not have a microchip.   We do not believe that she belongs to anyone living in the immediate neighbourhood as otherwise she would have returned home and her owner would have removed the collar.  Dolly was either abandoned or genuinely lost.

If she remains unclaimed she will be seeking a new home once her wound has healed.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

Because our cats are rescued we do like to meet potential adopters this can either be at your home (home visit) or via a video call e.g WhatsApp this is an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home.

Following a successful home assessment we can make an appointment for you to come and meet our cats.

We are prioritising homes that are local to our centres. Lewisham Branch Homing catchment area: All SE London and BR (Bromley) postcodes. Also N.Kent (Welling, Bexley, Sidcup, Swanley, Dartford), Croydon and SW London (SW8, SW9, SW2, SW11, SW4, SW12, SW16) If you can offer a home to a 'harder to rehome' cat we will consider homes outside our usual rehoming areas.

Our Rescue Centre reception is also open every Saturday and Sunday afternoon between 1p.m and 5p.m for potential adopters to drop in to meet us for an initial chat about adopting one or more of our cats. Our address is 233-235, Lewisham Way SE4 1UY - please bring a donation of cat food to help us feed our rescue cats.
