VOLUNTEER PHOTOGRAPHER FOR OUR BREDE SANCTUARY CATS

Photos speak volumes on our website pages and we believe really give a helping hand to the cats we have in our care to find super homes.

However at our Brede sanctuary (nr Hastings in East Sussex) our photographic skills and equipment are OK but not the best! We are therefore looking for a volunteer photograper who would be able to come and photograph the cats looking for homes maybe on a once a week basis?

If you have the photographic expertise we are looking for please call 01424 882198 or email info@celiahammond.org with your details and a contact number

We look forward to hearing from you.

Volunteering

Help is always greatly needed in a variety of ways such as transport, the collection/delivery of items, home visits and of course, most importantly, fundraising. If you are interested and feel you may have something to offer, even if it is not something mentioned here, we would love to hear from you.

Feeding and Cleaning

We are keen to hear from people willing to help with day to day cleaning, feeding and socialising the animals, at both our London Clinics and our Hastings Sanctuary where we need people to work on weekday mornings or at weekends, hours by arrangement. Do you live anywhere near? Would you be prepared to muck in? Email us and will will get back to you if we have any current volunteer placements.

NB Our Tunbridge Wells Branch is run by volunteers with shelters in their own homes and therefore hands on help looking after the animals is not available in the Tunbridge Wells area - unless of course you have a spare room and you could be tempted to 'Foster' a mum cat and her kittens untils homes can be found for them?

LEWISHAM BRANCH

WE DO NEED VOLUNTARY HELP : Weekdays 4.30p.m - approx 5.30p.m with the late afternoon feeding of our rescued cats. Also Sunday late afternoon feed 4.30p.m - 5.30p.m.

LEWISHAM BRANCH: Major refurbishment is commencing shortly and is continuing throughout 2010, this is creating some Health and Safety concerns and for this reason we are unfortunately unable provide any work experience placements this year.

IT & Design

Are you great with computers do you have a flair for design, we are looking for a team of people who we can call on to help with DTP or leaflet design.

Wadhurst Charity Shop

We are looking for a couple more volunteers to join our great team to help out serving customers in our charity shop. Friday afternoons and Monday mornings.

Due to insurance restrictions we are unfortunately able to offer volunteer placements to anyone under 18 years of age at any of our centres or our charity shop.

Pembury, Kent - Volunteer stamp enthusiast required.

For many years one of our wonderful volunteers has been sorting our many donated stamps and selling them on behalf of the Trust which has generated a substantial amount of income over the years. We are looking for someone to help out with the sorting. If you live near the Pembury area and have a few hours each month to spare, please give us a call.

If you can help as a volunteer, you are dedicated to animal welfare, and want to make a real difference helping animals in the face of this challenge, do not hesitate to contact us info@celiahammond.org

Home Checkers needed for East Sussex/Kent

Our Tunbridge Wells and Hastings branches need a couple more volunteers to join our homechecking teams. All promising offers of homes for our cats and kittens are homechecked. Obviously, having rescued our cats, we want to know where they are going, and be assured that they are going to have safe, secure, good homes for the rest of their lives. We also offer advice and assess what sort of cats and kittens are most suitable for each home.

Ideally, we need people to check their own local areas. We are short of help for the following areas:

1 - Crowborough -East Sussex
2 - Cranbrook, Hawkhurst
3 - Tunbridge wells

Volunteer home checkers will be trained. However, you need to be good at talking and listening to people, and also to have a good basic knowledge of and familiarity with cats. Experience of rescued cats would be preferable. You need to have your own transport, although fuel costs will be reimbursed.

Home visits can be carried out in the evenings and weekends.
Please email tunwells@celiahammond.org for more details please include a contact phone number.

Storage

We are sometimes offered cat/pet goods that require secure, weatherproof storage space, space we dont have. Do you have a spare garage or large shed you could offer us on a tempoary basis. However, it does need to have easy vehicle access and be close to our London, Tunbridge Wells or Hastings centres.

Fundraising

Would you be able to hold a fundraising event for CHAT?

How about a boot fair? We can sometimes even supply the goods for sale

Pictured are volunteers at a C.H.A.T. local fundraising event - Would you like to be part of future events? If so, please send an email to info@celiahammond.org (including a contact telephone number)
