Full Time Veterinary Surgeons - Canning Town & Lewisham
The Celia Hammond Animal Trust has two current vacancies, one in its East London Clinic and the other in its Lewisham Clinic.
We are looking for two experienced small animal veterinary surgeons, with a particular interest in welfare work, to join our team of six vets. The clinics are a very busy but rewarding place to work with many challenging medical and surgical cases daily as well as routine neutering of cats and dogs. A high standard of veterinary care is always our objective and the Trust's clinics are well-equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, haematology and biochemistry machines, endoscopes, etc. We take many orthopaedic referrals but experience in orthopaedics is not essential. A keen interest in medicine, however, would be an advantage.
The Trust provides a full veterinary service for animals belonging to people unable to afford private veterinary fees but who don't qualify for assistance from the major charities. Although we strive to offer an "at cost" service, no animal is turned away because of its owners inability to pay for treatment.
A competitive salary is offered according to experience and pleasant accommodation is available if needed. To find out more about the Trust and its work, please look at the rest of our website.
Please apply to Celia Hammond by email at canningtown@celiahammond.org or by post to;

Are you looking for a truly rewarding position in animal welfare? Are you looking for a role with lots of responsibility where you will be encouraged to use your initiative? If you are, you could make a valuable contribution to the work of the Celia Hammond Animal Trust.
C.H.A.T provides a full veterinary service through its London clinics for animals belonging to members of the public unable to afford private veterinary fees yet not qualifying for assistance through major charities.
