Sheldon and Sulley were adopted from us 2 years ago by their current home after they were returned to us by the first family who adopted them from us as kittens because they were emigrating.  Sheldon and Sulley are 9 year old brothers, since being adopted their new family have had a baby and Sheldon has unfortunately developed diabetes.  Their current family feel they can no longer cope with looking after Sheldon and Sulley.

"Tweet and Snag/ Sheldon and Sully are 9 year old brothers.  Both Tweet and Snag are very calm and friendly cats. They can bit a little nervous to begin with but they have a lot of love to give and enjoy lots of cuddles. They would benefit from a quieter calm house, however any home that has a loving environment would be great. Both enjoy the outdoors, especially when it is nice and sunny. They both spend most of their time outside exploring during the day.  Both cats enjoy being brushed. Snag (Sully) particularly needs brushing to help his lovely fluffy coat keep nice and soft. Tweet/sheldon is a very cuddly cat. He will burrow his head into your hand when you have cuddles and purrs away. He is extremely gentle considering his size. He does suffer from diabetes but it is well managed with his insulin which he takes like a trooper. Both love their food. Snag loves biscuits compared to wet food but will happily eat both. Tweet is also a great lover of his food. These are playful cats. Snag especially loves playing with string and toys with you. He is young at heart. "

They are seeking a home together and Sheldon can be adopted under our Long Term Foster Scheme whereby we will provide his veterinary care related to his diabetes. Sheldon does require insulin injections twice a day.

CAT ADOPTIONS:  The coronavirus pandemic did mean that we have had to alter our usual homing procedures. We are now in the process of returning to 'normal' but this will take some time.   Home Assessments:  Pre-coronavirus we would meet potential adopters in their homes (home visit) this was an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home.  During the pandemic we replaced our usual home visit with a video call via What'sApp or similar to provide the same advice and so that you can also show us the cat relevant areas of your home e.g garden, location of a cat flap etc.  We are continuing with the option of an initial video call home visits or an actual home visits.

Following a successful home assessment you are then welcome to come and meet suitable cats by appointment. For homes who initially had a video call we are delivering cats to their new homes to ensure are settled in with you and any further advice required is provided.

We are continuing to prioritise homes that are local to our centres - except for feral/ outdoor cats.  Lewisham Branch Homing catchment area: All SE London and BR (Bromley) postcodes. Also N.Kent (Welling, Bexley, Sidcup, Swanley, Dartford), Croydon and SW London (SW8, SW9, SW2, SW11, SW4, SW12, SW16) If you can offer a home to a 'harder to rehome' cat we will consider homes outside our usual rehoming areas.
