New arrival Pascale is a very friendly 5 year old female cat. Pascale was taken in as a stray by a couple when she was a kitten, they have since had a baby and Pascale has really struggled for the last 9 months to cope with the baby and this has led to her suffering several bouts of stress cystitis. Building work in her home has also added to her stress. She has been living in a home with a garden but is worried by other cats outside and prefers to be indoors. Her owners adore Pascale but realise that she is unhappy and needs a quiet calm home.
"Pascale is a loving curious cat who loves to sit it on your lap and have a cuddle. She gets quite anxious with new people. She doesn't show it at the time and will approach them and have lots of cuddles however the next day she might tell you about it by doing a little wee or poo somewhere obvious.
Pascale would be a perfect indoor cat for a single older person or older couple. She is very intimidated by other cats but loves her owners. She is happy as long as she has a comfortable safe space to curl up, a loving hand for a gentle stroke (prefers it on her head or under chin), a bowl of wet cat food with added water and a spot to do her business. She loves playing with string and ribbon and is still a little kitten at heart. She loves a little bit of chicken or ham and is a big fan of dreamies too but we try not to give her too many as they make her tummy upset.
We will really miss her but she has become increasingly stressed with us due to ongoing building works, decorating and children and would be much happier in a quiet home."
Pascale is seeking an adult only home as the only cat in her new home and would suit an indoor only home where there are people home in the day.
Please note: We do carry out a pre-adoption home visit. This is an informal visit that takes place in your home. We provide any advice you may need about caring for and settling in new cats or kittens – incl health care, feeding, holiday arrangements, dangers in your home etc. We also look at the location of your home to assess for hazards such as easy access to busy roads or for indoor-only homes to advise on making windows or balconies safe. Our cats have varied temperaments and needs so we also discuss what ‘sort’ of cats would be suitable for you, your family, your lifestyle and your home. Once a successful home visit has been carried out you will be invited back by appointment to meet suitable cats either at our Rescue centre or at our local foster homes and choose your new feline companion(s). If you are interested in offering a home to one or more of our cats you are welcome to visit one of our Adoption Open Days prior to having a home visit but unless you have had a successful home visit you cannot choose or reserve cats at one of our Adoption Days.
