George was rescued after being spotted by a passing member of staff hiding in long grass on a traffic island at a junction with a roundabout on a busy dual carriageway.

After a nerve wracking rescue aided by passers by who stopped the traffic George was captured and brought to safety. He hadn't got any injuries consistent with being involved in a road accident and its a bit of a mystery as to how he ended up where he was, perhaps he jumped out from under a vehicle that was stopped at the roundabout.  George an unneutered male cat did have extensive infected bite wounds to his chest and one front leg which required cleaning up and a course of antibiotics. He has also been neutered and microchipped. He is estimated to be about 8 years old.

Initially very nervous we considered that he might be feral but George has gradually relaxed, is now happy to have his head stroked and is becoming friendlier every day.

An adult home with a garden is sought for George.
