Alex is an 11 year old male cat who has diabetes.
His previous owners adopted Alex and his mother and brother from CHAT when Alex and his brother were kittens. Recently Alex had been urinating in the wrong places, thinking that he was feeling stressed due to the arrival of a baby they returned Alex to us to find a new home. Upon arrival our vets were concerned about him and ran blood tests which confirmed diabetes. One of the symptoms of uncontrolled diabetes is drinking and urinating a lot - often in inappropriate places.
Alex diabetes has now been stabilised and he requires insulin injections twice a day. Alex is a shy cat who is finding rescue centre life quite stressful. He is seeking an indoor only home (he was previously an indoor cat and has never been outside) He would prefer a quiet adult home and would be fine to live with other cats.
UPDATE 11th MAY: Alex has moved to a foster home.
