We have four French Bull Dog puppies in need of new homes.

These puppies have been hand reared from 2 days old after their mother collapsed and died two days after giving birth to them.  French Bull dogs struggle to give birth naturally and usually require a caesarian delivery.  Their mother had an unusually large litter of 8 puppies.  Their owner couldn't manage to hand rear them herself so they were taken in by us and have been hand reared by one of our foster carers. One puppy sadly had a hole in his heart and didn't make it but the rest have done well.  Two have been hand reared at our Sussex Sanctuary and five via a Lewisham Branch fosterer, one of these has a home to go to but four puppies are seeking new homes.

We have 3 boys and one girl who were born on 27th february in need of homes.

Ideally we are seeking homes for them with other dogs, although the smallest, Guppy a black male could be rehomed on his own with plenty of human company.

Anyone considering offering a home to these puppies will need to be home in the day, have a securely fenced garden and be able to afford to insure and take on the cost of their future veterinary care and general care. It will be a condition of adoption that these puppies will be neutered as soon as they are old enough.

For more information about the care of French Bull Dogs please read the following PDSA advice and information page about this breed:

Homes offered should be within the catchment areas of our centres - generally London, Sussex, Kent and Surrey.

Update 30th April. We now have a home for the female puppy and are carrying out two home visits with families who are interested in the male puppies. Updates to follow.

UPDATE 11th MAY: It is now only Guppy still in need of a new home. He has always been the smallest puppy and is a bit more delicate than his siblings. He will be seeking a special home wiyth plenty of TLC. More info to follow.
