Tiger is a friendly 2 year old male cat. He has been handed in for rehoming because he has been biting and scratching young children in his home.
Tiger has had a turbulent life so far, adopted by a family living in Singapore as a 6 week old kitten, Tiger lived as a single indoor only cat and was described as very boisterous. Tiger was brought to the U.K early this year where his family began to struggle with his behaviour. Under the advice of a pet sitter who could see that he was bored and was therefore directing all his energy at his owners Tiger began to go outdoors. Going outside did help a bit and Tiger was beginning to interact with local cats but by now the families children had become scared of him pouncing on them and biting and scratching and he was brought to us for rehoming.
Tiger is a very intelligent cat and is confident and talkative, he is also physically a strong cat and is rather like a Bengal / oriental cat in terms of temperament. He has a short, curled tail which is a common trait in cats from Singapore.
Tiger is seeking an experienced adult home. He needs a home where he will have plenty to do and would benefit from a home with a large garden, access to a network of gardens or even a rural home. He may on occasions give the odd bite - a behaviour that we hope will diminish in time but new owners must be able to cope with this and not react but instead ignore him if he does this. He would like people to be around - perhaps working from home.
