Feliz and Arlo are 11 month old siblings (black/white female and tabby/white male). They have been taken in from a colony of stray cats in Woolwich. Our rescue team have been neutering and returning the colony of cats that live in a network of gardens and are fed by residents. The kind people who are feeding the cats are worried though that there are more cats than they can cope with so have asked us not to return Feliz and Arlo.
Feliz and Arlo are very shy and would be happier in an outdoor home. They have also been joined by JC a young tabby male cat who was found abandoned in a cat carrier in the street outside a train station earlier this year. JC is a shy cat who was initially a very traumatised cat. He has gradually become slightly more relaxed around people but is frightened of being touched. We think that he has previousy been very badly treated rather than having been born feral. He now runs to greet people but will swipe at people if you attempt to stroke him. JC loves other cats and gets on very well with Feliz and Arlo. Should JC decide to become completely friendly before a home is found for them then we may reconsider how we rehome JC but currently are looking to rehome him with Feliz and Arlo as a trio to a safe and caring adult outdoor home.
They have all been neutered and microchipped and are seeking a suitable outdoor home such as at a stables, smallholding or a garden home. They will require access to dry shelter e.g a hay barn or dry outbuilding or garden shed. They will need feeding every day with good quality cat food (the same as any pet cat would be fed) but will also earn their keep as an effective rodent patrol.
We can rehome feral and semi-feral cats to homes in Sussex, Kent, parts of Surrey and to suitable homes within London. We initially loan a purpose built relocation pen to keep the cats in for 3 -4 weeks to settle them in and provide life long support and back up should it be required e.g with health care.
