Dear Moss was was reported to us living in miserable damp coal hole in a wall next to a busy road, we understand he may have been living there for some time. He has clearly had a very difficult life and at some point suffered a broken leg which has healed itself with the leg now shorter than the other, he managed to get around very well but has a limp and is not super agile. This poor chap is really fearful of people and he will hiss and run off when approached. It has taken many months but he has formed a bond with one of his carers and purrs and enjoys ear scratches and a few strokes from them -in exchange for lots of Dreamies of course! Moss requires a very kind and patient person who he can learn to trust. We think Moss has most likely lived outdoors all his life and may suit an outdoor home with cosy outbuilding (due to his stiff leg he would need to to be based in building with power to provide him heating/ some sort of heated bed or similar) or he could be homed as a house cat with access to a garden in a quiet adult only household. If you feel you could offer this sweet gentleman a safe and comfortable retirement home please get in touch, we would love to hear from you. We think Moss woudl prefer to live as an only cat however it is possible he may be happy living alongside another indifferent or confident cat.
