Poor little Boggle was found seriously injured, unable to walk and with a ruptured eye.   Once we got the call one of our rescue workers went straight out to pick him up.

Our vet team took emergency action and quickly removed his ruptured eye and x-rays revealed two broken legs (one front and one rear leg).  He was given a couple of days rest to recover, with strong pain medication to keep him comfortable.

Once strong enough for another operation, the vet team went to work fixing his rear leg.  They were only able to do one leg at a time and pinned the fracture and placed him on cage rest and gentle physio for a few weeks.  He is doing very well and although his walking and gait improved, he now needs to build the muscle strength in his back legs.

The front leg fracture had fused together and he is able to bear weight upon it.  There isn’t much we can do with that leg apart from keep an eye on it. He isn’t showing any signs of pain and is happy walking around on it.

Boggle has suffered a lot of pain and medical procedures and we have seen different sides to him. He is normally a loving boy who likes head strokes and reward you with a purr, but it is all on his terms.

He is a cat that picks the people he likes and anyone interested in him will need to come a meet him to get his approval before adoption.

Since Boggle has recovered and become much more comfortable, he has begun to enjoy human attention.  We can now see that he has a very sweet side to him and he is gradually learning a how to interact with humans without it involving medication and medical procedures.

Boggle has lived his life as a stray and will now need to be an indoor only cat because of his reduced eyesight and to prevent him straining his legs.  This can be upsetting for some cats and he will need a lot to keep him busy and make sure he doesn’t get bored.

He is a delight of a boy who will thrive in the right home and reward you with milestones as he build trust and love.
