Chaucer is a very gentle three-year-old boy who has been living as a stray for most of his life as part of a small colony of strays and feral cats in a row of gardens. Unfortunately some new residents have moved into this area who are very antagonistic towards cats and even seem to be trying to harm them. Consequently we have taken them away to find new homes.

Chaucer was initially very shy but after only a few weeks with us he has decided that he loves attention and now purrs and nuzzles into your hand when you stroke him. So far he has shown no interest at all in going outside, however we think we would like him to have that option, in case he once again decides that he might consider venturing into the outdoors.

Chaucer is fine with other cats but would also be happy as an only cat.  He could be paired with Orwell.

I would like an adult only home

I have not been tested with a dog

    I like other cats

I need a home with outdoor access via a catflap
