These young cats were rescued from a waste disposal site back in August 2019 (see story below). They have now grown and are being fostered in various homes. They are still shy but we are improving.

If you wish to adopt any of these kittens please get in touch and we will be able to let you know more about them. Please note that they are young adult cats now.

WASTE SITE RESCUE story:

We have been asked to help with a huge colony of at least 50 but possibly as many as 70 or more black cats and kittens living at a waste processing site.
Apparently there have been large numbers of cats on this site for years. The stray cats are welcomed and fed by the staff at the site as they are excellent rodent catchers. Recently numbers have got out of control and numbers this year have reached crisis point. A humane solution had to be found. There are litters of kittens everywhere and although the adult cats appear to survive quite well there is a high kitten mortality.

We have agreed to take in all the kittens from the site for rehoming and to neuter the adult cats rehoming any that appear to be tame. It is not an ideal place for these cats to live but to them it is home and it would be very difficult to find suitable new homes for such a large number of adult feral cats.
