Sam is a 3-and-half-year-old neutered male.

Sam has lived most of his life as a street cat where many people have tried to trap him but he was too clever for them.  Sam spent the next couple of years going from garden to garden looking for food. One evening he walked into his feeder's kitchen and collapsed on the floor, so they keep him in overnight and tried to give him food and water but he didn’t want any.  In the morning they called us and we went to pick him up.

When Sam came in, he had a burst abscess on his sternum, an eye infection and a really bad mouth.  Sam had been through a lot and just needed treatment to get better. The vet team have done an amazing job healing him; during his first vet check, they noticed he has a grade 2 heart murmur and he also tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and feline calicivirus.

Sam has had dental treatment which leaves him with 4 canines and 2 incisors. This poor boy has been through a lot in the space of a few years. Sam will be homed under our permanent foster scheme. He will need a lot of stimulation and things to do as he is a very clever and active cat.

Sam is a sweet boy who likes attention and has the most adorable face and personality to match.  Sam really doesn’t like other cats, so he is finding life at the shelter very stressful.
