This is Mr Sid who is a handsome 5-year-old neutered boy. He was living a hard life outside as a stray and was being fed by kind people after he kept coming back to them over many months. One day, they discovered he was unwell and looked as though he had been injured, possibly after a fox attack, which left him with a large painful abscess on his face. Our veterinary team successfully treated him and the abscess healed quickly.

We are not sure if Mr Sid has ever been in a home before, so he was uncertain of his surroundings when first arriving. With time and patience from our wonderful animal care team he turned a corner and now loves a head and chin rub. He is a playful big bear and loves toys with feathers on them.

He needs someone who will understand his past and that he will be slower to trust you than some other cats especially in a new home environment. Once Mr Sid is settled, your patience will really pay off as he is such a sweet and loving boy that his true sweet character will blossom in the months and years to come.

Mr Sid can be prone to a blocked bladder so he will need to be kept on a urinary only diet which he really likes and works incredibly well - he has not experienced a blocked bladder since being on this special food (with the occasional chicken treat thrown in).

Potential owners must be able to look out for signs of a blocked bladder (we can explain this to you) and can bring him into one of our veterinary practices quickly in this circumstance as blocked bladders can be life threatening for male cats.

We are looking to home Mr Sid under our permanent foster scheme so you will need to be within easy reach of one of out vet practices. You can watch a short video of him below -
