Not-Barry is a 2-year-old neutered female. She was brought in after the hairdressers she was living at was closed down. Originally, we thought she was a boy so we called her Barry but when she calmed down and was checked over by one of our vets they saw she was in fact a girl and the name Not Barry stuck. She is a scared girl who needs some healing and trust building. She is slowly coming out of her shell at the shelter and now loves to play. We could sit and watch her play all day. She has made very good friends with her pen mates! She loves to cuddle Hudson and play with Bailey. She is still very unsure of humans but has stopped running and hiding from us and will usually go straight to Hudson for some support. After spending some time with her and talking calmly to her she will let you stroke her on her back but she still doesn’t trust us enough to let us touch her head.
Bailey is a 3-year-old neutered female. She was brought in with Hudson when the pub they lived at sadly closed down and we believe that they are father and daughter. Bailey is very scared and wants very little interaction with people. She will allow certain members of our animal care team to give her a very quick stroke but she doesn't tolerate it for long periods of time. Bailey loves to play and this is the best way to win her over once she is comfortable with you sitting with her. She needs a lot of time and patience; she may never come round to liking humans but we think she would be very happy in a home with a garden.
Hudson is a 10-year-old neutered male. He will be homed under our permanent foster scheme as he has calicivirus. He had a big dental when he was brought in to us and only has 1 tooth left. He is a shy boy who loves his girls and is always cuddled up with one of them or watching them play. Hudson does hiss when you first go to him but once you have let him sniff your hand and given him some treats, he lets you stroke him and does enjoy it after a while. He loves his chicken and will try to catch it with his paws.
Figgy is a 10-year-old neutered female. She will be homed under our permanent foster scheme as she has calicivirus. Figgy has spent most of her life living outside and was brought to us after her feeder noticed she wasn’t eating and had lost weight. Figgy has had dental work since being with us and is eating normally now and slowly gaining weight back. We introduced her to Hudson, Not Barry and Bailey and they all took her in. They love each other so much and have such a special bond. She is a shy girl who does like a stroke but needs help to build her confidence around people. You can often find her snuggled up to one of the other 3 or in her little box.
These 3 need a very special home with people who will understand them and be happy watching them live their lives. Once they are settled into a safe loving home, they may choose to get closer to you but they may also choose not to. They will need a house with a big garden where they can spend time outside and lay in the sun.
