By supporting our neutering programme with a donation. It costs us £20 to castrate a male and £25 to spay a female cat and from £65 to neuter a dog. Please remember one female cat over seven years can be responsible for 21,000 kittens assuming all her progeny survive and reproduce and a bitch can be responsible during the same period of time for 4,500 pups. By simply 'paying for a spay' you will be making a major contribution to animal welfare in the future.
By undertaking to make an annual donation to us. This will give us an indication of projected income to help with forward planning.

By completing a Gift Aid tax form*. All current standing orders and all future donations are now covered by this new law and will greatly increase the Trust's income.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. It allows Celia Hammond Animal Trust to claim 28p back from the Inland Revenue for every pound you give, as long as you are a UK taxpayer.
For Example If you give £10 to C.H.A.T. and "Gift Aid it" the Inland Revenue will add £2.82 to the value of the donation, at no extra cost to you, bringing it up to £12.82.
For higher rate taxpayers there is an added advantage in that you can reclaim the marginal rate of tax for yourself by entering details of your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment form

Our charity Shop at our Headquarters in East Sussex is always appealing for donated items to sell.
The shop is run by a fantastic team of volunteers which enables all the funds raised to go directly to the care of the animals. We accept good quality bric a brac & clothes, small items of furniture, in fact almost anything we can sell to raise funds! Volunteer Mechanic
A mechanic is needed to help maintain CHAT's mostly ageing fleet of rescue vehicles. The majority are Diesel Ford Escort and Vauxhall Vans bought mainly through the ROYAL MAIL's charity vehicle scheme.
CHAT's rescue workers cover most of the South East of England, collecting, rescuing, transporting animals. Hence, we need reliable vehicles.
We are particularly seeking help with our vehicles based at our Lewisham South East London branch.
Vehicle repairs are potentially a large drain on charity funds, so any donated (or very low cost) time/labour allows us to concentrate our funds on rescue work.
