***UPDATE 22/1/2017*** We're still waiting for all of Churchill's test results to come back to hopefully diagnose what is wrong with his eyes. Early indications are that he may have a viral infection that is causing the problem. He is still on daily eye drops which he is an absolute star at taking as long as you bribe him with a treat or two! We would love to find Churchill a long term foster home where we would continue to provide veterinary support to treat his conditions. He has so much love to give and would love to be snoozing at the end of a bed or curled up on the sofa. Due to this medical issues an indoor only home is sought where he would be the only pet. Please get in touch if you think you could offer this wonderful chap the home he deserves.

Beautiful boy Churchill was rescued from a derelict church that had begun renovations. Several builders had caught fleeting glimpses of Churchill but he was petrified and would hide in a cupboard next to the old church organ. Overnight Churchill would raid the bins on the building site looking for scraps of food. We were called to help catch Churchill as it was clear he couldn't go on living on a dangerous building site. Once back at the Sanctuary Churchill was initially very frightened and would hide away in his bed. Slowly over the next few days it seems he couldn't resist the temptation of some Dreamies and would very cautiously take them out of your hand. Happily Churchill has now decided that he quite likes people and the treats they bring! He's started to purr and meow when people come into his pen.

We think he would be best suited to an adult only household as he is still has a nervous side to him.
