*** UPDATE 29/1/17*** Angelfish has been though so much in her young life and is such doting 'Mammafish' to her babies and we are desperately seeking a special home where the whole little family can stay together. The trio are now residing in the Sanctuary office where there tends to be lots of people in and out throughout the day and we are delighted to see little Barnacle is growing in confidence each day.
Two year old Angel-fish (also affectionately known to the Sanctuary staff as Fishy) and her 5 month old kittens, Barnacle and Minnow, are looking for their puuuuurfect home together. Little Fishy was heavily pregnant and found living on a fish farm scavenging for food. She had clearly been a much loved pet in the past as she was so friendly, and happily trotted over to us when we came to rescue her. She gave birth to 6 kittens not long after arriving at the Sanctuary and has been a great mum since day one. Whilst 4 of Fishy's kittens have found a home, Minnow and Barnacle are still waiting and Fishy loves them so much that we want to find a home for all three of them together as we can't bear the thought of splitting them up. A typical day for the trio involve Minnow and Barnacle running around playing together while Fishy snoozes and keeps one watchful eye on their antics making sure they don't get into too much trouble. After playtime is over, the kittens come to mum for a quick wash before they all curl up together for a nap.
Fishy is a very friendly cat and really loves lots of attention where as her kittens are a little more cautious of people they don't know but can usually be enticed into a game. They would be best suited to a quieter household where their new owner had the time to continue to build up Minnow and Barnacle's confidence.
We have many more cats available for adoption than those shown on our website. Please get in touch to have a chat.
